public sculpture

Anders Tinsbo’s sculptures can be found all over Denmark. They decorate spaces frequented by all walks of life, from schools to libraries, public and company offices to former stately homes.

He was particularly prolific with his mobiles, installing so many that he “had no idea of the number”. As Tinsbo described, the mobiles were “placed here and there [to be] seen by those who happen to be there.”

He believed deeply in the democratic nature of sculpture, and his many public sculptures represent the depths of his conviction.

While the whereabouts of many of his sculptures, particularly the mobiles, are not currently known, the Anders Tinsbo Estate has developed a map with known public sculptures that will be updated as the whereabouts of sculptures are confirmed. Please write in to info@secherfineart.com with any additions to the map.
